Instructions for participants
The event was organised June 2–3, 2026, and the networking day on June 1, 2026!
Location
The networking meetings (June 1) and event days (June 2–3) will take place in the city center of Kuopio at Lumit (Senior High School of Arts)
Address: Koljonniemenkatu 48–50.
Entrance to the event is through door C (Kirkkokatu 45).
Arriving in Kuopio
Below you will find instructions for arriving in Kuopio and at Lumit.
Public transport
We recommend arriving in Kuopio using public transportation. Kuopio Travel Centre (Puutarhakatu 3) and the railway station (Asemakatu 1) are located close to each other in the city center. Kuopio Airport is located in Rissala (Siilinjärvi), about 14 km from the Kuopio center.
Cars and buses
If arriving by car, parking is available along streets, at the Kuopio Music Centre parking area, and at Toriparkki parking garage.
If arriving by car or bus, parking spaces are available opposite the main entrance of the Kuopio Music Centre (Kuopionlahdenkatu). The Music Centre is located next to Lumit.
Parking conditions at the Music Centre:
- Free for the first 2 hours (8:00–16:00) in the first two parking spaces closest to the main entrance
- Other areas in front are free of charge
- Free parking after 16:00
Additional parking is available on nearby side streets.
Accessible parking (4 spaces) is located on the Puijonkatu side of the Music Centre.
Airport
From Kuopio Airport, you can take bus number 40 to the city center. The bus stops at Maljalahdenkatu, about 800 m from Lumit. Nearby hotels are within walking distance (500–1500 m).
Bus tickets can be paid contactlessly or via the Waltti Mobie app.
Registration and Information
Entrance. Entry to Lumit is only through door C (Kirkkokatu 45).
Info desks. The main information desk is located on floor 0 (C lobby). Staff are available on every floor.Available on floors 0 and 1. Use at your own risk.
Opening hours. Lumit is open during the event:
- Monday, June 1: 12:00–16:00 (networking day)
- Tuesday, June 2: 08:30–17:00
- Wednesday, June 3: 08:30–16:00
Event pass. Participants receive an event pass upon registration. The event pass can also be picked up on June 1 (12:00–16:00). The event pass is required for entry to Lumit and the evening event at Restaurant Albatross.
Coat storage. Available on floors 0 and 1. Use at your own risk.
Luggage storage. Available on floor 0 and in lockers on floor 1. Lockers operate with RFID cards (e.g. credit or library cards) and open automatically after 24 hours.
Workspaces. Several workspaces are available, especially on floors 2 and 3.
Floor maps will be published soon.
Lumit floor maps. Use these maps to find your throughout the event. Icon identifications are unfortunately in Finnish.

Meals
The participation fee includes lunch and coffee on both days.
Lunch is served in the cafeteria on floor 1, with two sittings based on last name:
- Sitting 1: A–M
- Sitting 2: N–Ö
Tuesday, June 2
- Sitting 1: 10:45–11:30
- Sitting 2: 11:30–12:15
Wednesday, June 3
- Sitting 1: 11:30–12:15
- Sitting 2: 12:15–13:00
Participants may enter flexibly as space allows.
Special diets are marked; ask staff if needed.

Handled via registration. For severe allergies, request your pre-ordered separate portion on-site.
Coffee service
Served simultaneously to all participants (see Program).
Evening reception
Participants eligible for the evening reception will have a mark on their event pass. Bring your pass to the reception. The event takes place at Restaurant Albatross (Kuopio harbor): tuesday, June 2, 18:45–23:00. See the Program for details.
Other Practical Information
Sustainability. Bring your own water bottle. There are refill stations at Lumit.
Fragrance-free & smoke-free. We recommend avoiding strong fragrances and smoking.
Wi-Fi. Connect to guest WLAN:
- Select guest network
- Enter your name and phone number
- Receive login credentials via SMS
- Enter them in the network fields

Language and Programme
The main language of the event is Finnish. Several sessions are in English (marked in the programme). Keynote speaker Martin Weller will present in English.

No pre-registration required — participants may move freely between sessions. Participants are encouraged to review the program in advance.
